We would like to introduce you to our new hero ingredient:
YACON SYRUP
Yacon syrup is extracted from the edible root, or tuber, of the
yacon plant. Coming from South America, this plant is well-known
for its health benefits and the reason, it has been
used in Andean cultures for thousands of years now. It
contains high levels of a complex sugar called
fructooligosaccharides or FOS so its syrup can be used to
add sweetness. Unless other kinds of sugars and
sweeteners, yacon is not digested in the body, which makes
it a natural calorie-free addition. Aside from this, it is also a
prebiotic as it feeds your gut bacteria.
We have carefully combined our yacon syrup with some of
our best ingredients to create our new organic and glutenfree
Chocolate Yacon Granola!
